A lot of my creative ideas start that way. I’m drawn to the little things that make a place, an experience, or an ordinary thing feel a little more interesting. Sometimes I photograph them, sometimes I draw them, and sometimes they turn into a print, a guide, or some completely random project I decided I needed to make.
CM Artistry is a place for all of that to live together. The artwork, the little projects, and the ideas that don’t really fit anywhere else.
Just things I notice, things I love, and things I have fun making.
I’ve always been a little too good at noticing things. A pretty storefront I pass every day. The way the light hits a building at sunset. A coffee shop with a really good sign. A tiny detail that makes me stop, take a picture, and think, *okay, I’m definitely going to do something with that.*
Stop wasting your Saturday mornings scrolling for a good coffee shop. Inside you’ll find 9 coffee shops I think are worth the trip, along with what to order, where to sit, parking tips, fun little notes, and ideas for what to do after you finish your coffee. From quiet spots to work for a few hours to unexpected places that turn into something entirely different after dark, each stop has its own little reason to go.
Part coffee guide, part passion project, and very much made by me.
I’m a photographer and artist based in the Atlanta area, and I have a habit of turning the things I’m already obsessed with into little projects.
When I moved to Atlanta, exploring coffee shops became one of my favorite ways to get to know the city. Then coffee started coming up during photo sessions, too. I was constantly recommending places to clients and friends, so eventually I thought, I should probably just make a guide.
That’s how this started. CM Artistry is where I get to make the things that don’t quite belong in my photography world, whether that’s a coffee guide, a drawing, a print, or whatever I decide to make next.
So, welcome to my little corner of the internet. I hope you find something here that makes you want to grab a coffee, make something, or go explore somewhere new.
The coffee guide is just the beginning. Eventually, this space will be home to prints, illustrations, painted pieces, and other little projects. Perhaps even, Long Distance Print Club.
