In-home newborn session is a way for you to get beautiful images in the most convenient way for you. It’s time to relax and capture memories of your newest little love in the places he/she will grow up.

In-Home Newborn Session

What to expect from an in-home newborn session. The photographer will come to you. There is no need to pack up and drive anywhere. The goal is to make this a very stress free environment by capturing memories in your own home. These images will feel more like you. More authentic. More special. Years down the line when you want to remember what that time was like you will pull out these photos and all those little memories will come back to you. The photos taken in your bedroom, curled up on the couch together, in the nursery and with your pet(s).

You get to include your pets

With an in-home newborn session your pet(s) can join the session. Just imagine how cute it would be to have your new little baby with your pet. I’ve had plenty of experience photographing dogs and babies together that I am confident we will get a good photo.

Tips on how to prepare your home

• Make sure it isn’t cold in your home. Babies like the warmth!
• Pick up anything you don’t want your photographer seeing (undies!)
• Do a quick clean up of your home. Remember your home is the backdrop for the images.
• Remember to make your bed. So simple but it can be easily overlooked.
• Open all shades and blinds. Natural light is always the best option when it comes to photos.

Tips on how to prepare yourself for the session

• Plan your outfit in advance.
• Lay out all the clothes next to each other and see how it looks.
• Give yourself time to get ready.
• Wear an outfit you feel confident in!
