Preparing for your newborn session starts with a photographer. Every newborn photographer is different. Make sure to do your research when selecting your photographer. Pay attention to the photographer’s style (studio vs lifestyle), use of props, and types of poses. Instagram, google, and Facebook are all great ways to find photographers.
When To Book Your Session
Booking early is always a good idea. Once you have decided on the perfect photographer, reach out and book your session. Babies enter this world when they want too, it is best to be prepared with a newborn session before your little one arrives. Session dates can always be adjusted based on when your baby enters the world. Once your baby arrives go ahead and touch base with your photographer to nail down a session date.
Communication is Always Key
Your newborn photographer should be communicating with you up until your session date. Keep an eye out for session prep guides, clothing suggestions and other tips from your photographer. This is the time to express any special wants or concerns you might have! Be open and honest with your photographer. Ask any questions you have. Really let your photographer get to know you and your family. This will help in creating a beautiful and tailored photoshoot experience for your family.
Newborn Session Day!
On the day of the newborn session you should feel confident knowing that you selected the perfect newborn photographer and have been properly prepped for the session. My biggest tip is to stay calm, enjoy the process and trust your photographer in capturing those precious images of your family. This is a beautiful and special moment allow yourself to feel all those little feelings. Emotions are beautiful and will help to make each photo even more precious. Snuggle, kiss and enjoy that little family you have created.
